Things you need to know before the photoshoot

  • Maternity Session
    The outfit… Yes! We provide outfits and hairpieces, props… you can aslo bring your own. Most of the outfits are showing on our maternity gallery, we may have some new arrivals which you can choose on-site. It’s the best you can bring your own bandeau top and underpants on those colors (black, white, nude) to match with the outfits. The bandeau top or strapless bra is ideal because they match with the off-shoulder dresses much better. If you want to ask about make up, we can reccomend a few make up artist that work with us several times Prepare outfits for your family Your partner is welcomed to join the photoshoot! Please prepare at least one dark color and one light color outfit. Ideally, there is no logo on the outfit. Just remember less is more, simplicity always turns out to be classic. For kids, we recommend dressing them at home first to match with other family members. Something you can bring We want this session to be special for you. If you can bring a few things meaningful, we will include them in the photo creations. Here is a list that may give you some ideas. – Wedding rings – Things that you prepared for your unborn baby, such as a pair of tiny shoes… – Special items to the family and the baby The guide time – Mini Maternity Session: 0.4- 1 hours – Full Maternity: 1.5 -2 hours
  • Newborn Session
    Preparation for the newborn There are 4 important things that you need to bring. – Extra milk (If breastfeeding, it’s best to bring some bottled milk) – Extra nappies (It may need to be changed on every setting) – Dummy/Pacifier (We only use the dummy during the poses transition, it is very helpful to bring it to the photoshoot even you don’t usually use it ) – Changing clothes Preparation for Parents and Siblings It is important to match the outfit color for all your family members who are participating in the photoshoot. (The color doesn’t have to be exactly the same, but similar.) Ideally, there is no logo on the outfits. Just remember less is more, simplicity always turns out to be classic. For the best result, we suggest Mummy doing some hair and makeup before coming (otherwise ask if our make up artist is availabe the day of your session, for an extra cost) For the siblings, please dress them up at home to match with other family members. The guide time – Newborn session could last from 1.5 to 3 hours. Most likely will be arround 2 hours

About the Place

Newborns session will be better conducted in a warm temperature, so it may be good if you bring some fresh cloths...
As the photo shoot may take hours, we prepared a resting room for you with a comfortable sofa, so you can settle your baby with comfort and privacy.

Maia Photography has a strict health and safety policy. Please rest assured the I am vaccinated against whooping cough and the latest flu strain. We wear medical face masks on every photoshoot. All the outfits & props used on the session are washed or sanitized. We also clean and sanitize our studio as a routine after each session.

Payment method

Booking with us is simple.

After filling the contract you will receive an email with details to pay
a $30 deposit to lock in a slot.
There is no cost on changing the session date or content.
(for example, change from maternity to newborn or baby shoot…).
Please notice that the deposit is not refundable.
The rest of the amount is due on the shooting day after the session.

We accept the following payment methods:

– PayPal (8% surcharge)
 

Photo process & delivery

The original photos will be delivered the same day of the session in a USB 3.0 16 Gb that to bring or purchase to us ($10).

After you select your favorites photo for the edition, I will edit them one by one and give you a link to download the edited full-resolution photos. 

 it takes up to 3 weeks to get ready, but most probably will be within 1 week. The 4-set of personalized coasters will be posted to your home.

One last thing, to ensure you and other clients will have the fullest experience, please arrive on time. We schedule our shooting time which optimizes our client’s experience and results, please let us know ASAP if anything changes.
